Kleine Liefde

“Kleine Liefde” explores everyday, sometimes wonky love and answers questions such as, ‘How does a couple married for more than 30 years spend their evenings on the couch?’ and ”What does the most pointless argument look like?”

Film and theater makers Jort Ploos van Amstel and Ilse Lenstra visited three different couples to discover what their relationship looks like behind the scenes. Using these observations as a basis, they wrote short, theatrical film scenes in which the couples act as themselves. This explores the line between documentary and fiction and brings true everyday love to the screen.
