This generation and how we deal with sex.

In History of a Teenage Body, actresses Jatou Sumbunu and Shelley Bos assume the roles of different bodies. Freely, with their own bodies in battle, they thus playfully explore how this generation deals with sex. In a musical, shimmering narrative, they slowly draw you closer and closer. They invite you to look with them into the history of these bodies. To the small, big, mind blowing and epic rock moments in the coming of age of their sexuality. In doing so, they seek answers to the questions; who or what determines what we desire? How do we know what our bodies want?

FIELD was created to strengthen the bond with young talent and to give both the artists and the festival the opportunity to support people in the longer term and to make their “dreams” come true. We focus in particular on students who we feel (after conversations and performances) connect themselves as creators with the world beyond. In a conscious, critical and idiosyncratic way.
