A musical fever dream about man in free fall.
The peculiar mathematician Alice moves into an apartment on the twenty-fifth floor of a modern residential tower. Everything is there and everything is comfortable – for a while. Because from the moment Alice moves into her apartment, the building and the rapport between its residents begin to show cracks. Inexplicable things happen and, above all, no one seems to want to intervene.
The building’s stone-rich architect, Royal, looks down in fascination from his rooftop penthouse. As Alice tries to come to grips with the gradual decay of the apartment, the other residents adapt. Or they disappear. ‘High-Rise‘ is an absurd, unsettling and musical vision of fear of man trying to save himself against his better judgment.
After successful adaptations of the literary classics “ILIAS” and the acclaimed “The Master and Margarita,” KONVOOI this time makes musical theater of J.G. Ballard’s 1975 dystopian novel “High-Rise”.
