Seto disarms

The theme of Jonge Harten 2022 is disarmament. Arming ourselves, we all do it from time to time.

But why and when? And do we realize it ourselves? For Jonge Harten, Sebastian portrayed young people who are each disarming in their own way, and then asked them the question, “What weapons do you deploy?”

Seto: ‘When you feel threatened, you look for a way out. For example, if someone puts me down, I start with humor. That disarms people. If things get out of hand, I’ll start a conversation about the how and the why. I’m always looking for the reason why things aren’t right. It’s important to keep talking.”
