Freedom, resilience and the unwavering human spirit.

Take a look at the transformative journey of “Beyond the Triangle,” a multidisciplinary performance inspired by the Iranian women’s movement. This work explores the complexities of freedom, resilience and the immovable human spirit in the face of oppression.

Through live music, dance and poetry, “Beyond the Triangle” paints a penetrating portrait of the multifaceted Iranian women’s movement. Original compositions, incorporating Persian musical traditions with contemporary elements, improvisation and electronics, intertwine with the dancer’s movements, creating a narrative from confinement to celebration.

The performance features the words of women poets, an echo of their struggles for self-expression and social change through the generations. Their voices, echoed in the music,
awaken a longing for freedom that lies deep within us all.

This 30-minute tryout performance gives you a unique insight into the early stages of this project. As you watch the artists experiment, refine and push boundaries of artistic expression.

FIELD was created to strengthen the bond with young talent and to give both the artists and the festival the opportunity to support people in the longer term and to make their “dreams” come true. We focus in particular on students who we feel (after conversations and performances) connect themselves as creators with the world beyond. In a conscious, critical and idiosyncratic way.
